3 Constraints of Project Management

Mark Kruger November 1, 2005 11:12 PM Project Management, Podcasts Comments (4)

This is my first podcast. The topic is the 3 corners of project managment.

  • Time
  • Money
  • Features
I will welcome any feedback on what I should be doing differently with my podcast. If you have experience please enlighten me. What format should I be using? What's the "standard" for size and quality etc. Thanks!

Thanx for this great 'podlesson' ! Very useful for clarifying some fundemental mistakes people make in project planning. For the podcast idea, I would recomend forcing a download of the mp3 as the idea is to listen to the podcast on an iPod or similar. Otherwise, a great idea.

    cheers, Julian

You've left out the all important 4th variable: quality. Here is an interesting article (http://www.bit.umkc.edu/burris/pl/project-manageme...) that discusses this.

Julian, I thought the "enclosure" tag in the RSS feed handled that (which I've done). Do you mean just take them right to the file rather than any comments?

Chris - Thanks for the link, I'll take a look at it. I agree that quality is an important item. My "3 corners" is a nice neat construct and obviously it has a drastic impact on quality.

Mark, nice podcast. I found your insight to be of great value. A few of those things are going to be taken into consideration immediately for myself.
